NAGA in Albany New York 2014

29 March 2014

The students of Flavio Behring Brown belt Curtis Mosely after weeks of hard training and dedication competed in NAGA in Albany, NY. Everyone did an amazing job representing themselves and Behring Jiu Jitsu. Remembering the wise words of Grandmaster Flavio Behring, the students didn’t play for points and dug deep to win by submission.

The great job that all of the students did, definitely had other schools looking at the Flavio Behring way. Two students Frank Meekins and Cat Duttine took double gold winning their group in Gi and No Gi. The team came away with a total of 19 medals: 7, 1st place, 5, 2nd place and 7, 3rd place for a team total of 1070 points. As we wait for NAGA to list the team standing to see how we placed overall (Once released I will provided an update).

For some of the students this was their first tournament, now that they have the butterflies out and have built up confidence in their BJJ against other outside of our school. They have the urge to compete again. The next tournament some of the students will compete in is the IBJJF Boston open and also the New York State Grappling Championship.
